Weather & packing tips for Hanoi
Hanoi has hot, humid summers and damp, chilly winters — the change can catch little ones off guard. A few things to pack:
✓ Summer: SPF 50+ sunscreen, a hat, light clothes, and a refillable water bottle
✓ Mosquito repellent, a compact raincoat, and dry clothes for sudden showers
✓ Winter: warm layers, socks, a windproof jacket, and lip balm
✓ Familiar sleepwear — damp cold can feel stronger than the temperature suggests
✓ Any inhaler, allergy medicine, or prescription in original packaging with written instructions
During every session, our babysitters adjust layers, hydration, and plans to Hanoi’s weather and air quality, and tell you right away at the first sign of discomfort.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pay by CASH?
NO, Cash payments are NOT accepted under any circumstances. Calibee commits to refunds or flexible support in the case of valid customer requests.
Full payment is required in advance via local bank transfer WISE, or Visa/ MasterCard for Calibee to confirm and reserve the service, ensuring timely and accurate staff arrangement.
Since hourly babysitting services are highly flexible, short-term, and require quick responses, prepayment helps smooth the operation and prevents last-minute cancellations or schedule changes that could affect both customers and staff.
Cancellation, Change and Refund Policy
– If canceled while Calibee is still searching for a babysitter: 100% refund.
– If a babysitter has already been assigned:
• Cancel at least 24h before the shift: 50% refund.
• No refund.
– Schedule Change only provides 24 hours before the shift. An administrative fee of 50,000 VND will be applied, and the booking value will be updated based on the latest pricing.
What if my child cries or refuses the babysitter, making the session unworkable?
Calibee understands that children may be unfamiliar with new people or environments. Our babysitters will spend the first 15–20 minutes building rapport, and parents are encouraged to stay and help with the adjustment.
If the session cannot proceed and ends early, Calibee only charges a minimum service fee (1 hour) and transportation cost.
How far in advance should I book in Hanoi?
Book early to lock in your babysitter. To keep everything in order and avoid last-minute unavailability, we recommend:
– High season (Tết, autumn (September–November), public holidays and major conference dates): book 1–2 months in advance — babysitters fill up fast.
– Low season (the rest of the year): 1–4 weeks is usually enough.
Booking early also gives us time to confirm your hotel’s access rules and match a babysitter who fits your child’s age and routine.
Can I see the babysitter's profile and interview them before booking?
Yes. Most families don’t need to, since Calibee already matches each babysitter to your children’s ages and needs. But if you’d like to talk with them first, that’s completely understandable.
Once you’ve agreed on the quote and confirmed your schedule and payment terms, we’ll send you the babysitter’s profile and set up a 30-minute online interview. The support fee is 250K VND (excl. VAT), deducted from your total when you confirm the booking.
If the babysitter isn’t the right fit, we’ll introduce another one at no extra charge.
