Welcome to Calibee’s privacy policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”).
Calibee Private Limited and its affiliates (collectively, “Calibee”, “we” or “us”) provide web-based solutions to connect customers that seek specific services and service professionals that offer these services. This Policy outlines our practices in relation to the collection, storage, usage, processing, and disclosure of personal data in connection with your access, use, or interaction with our website available at https://calibee.com/ or mobile application ‘Calibee’ (collectively, “Platform”) or avail products or services that Calibee offers you on or through the Platform (collectively, the “Services”). In this Policy, the services offered to you by service professionals on or through the Platform are referred to as “Services”.

At Calibee, we are committed to protecting personal data and respecting your privacy. In order to provide you with access to the Services, we collect and otherwise process certain data about you. This Policy explains how we process and use personal data about you.

By using the Services, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by this Policy and consent to the processing activities described under this Policy.

1. BACKGROUND AND KEY INFORMATION

a. Applicability of this Policy:

This Policy applies to individual end users who access or use the Platform and/or Services and/or otherwise use or purchase the Services. For the avoidance of doubt, references to “you” across this Policy are to an end user that uses the Platform.

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, usage, and disclosure of your personal data, as described in and collected by us in accordance with this Policy.

When you leave the Platform or access third-party links through the Platform, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of such third-party service providers.

2. PERSONAL DATA THAT WE COLLECT

a. We collect different types of personal data about you. This includes, but is not limited to: This includes, but is not limited to:

Contact Data, such as your mailing or home address, location, email addresses, and mobile numbers.
Identity and Profile Data, such as your name, username or similar identifiers, photographs, and gender.
Marketing and Communications Data, such as your address, email address, information posted in service requests, offers, wants, feedback, comments, pictures and discussions in our blog and chat boxes, responses to user surveys and polls, your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us and our third parties, and your communication preferences. We also collect your chat and call records when you communicate with service professionals through the Platform.
Technical Data, which includes your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, details of operating system, access time, page views, device ID, device type, frequency of visiting our website and use of the Platform, website and mobile application activity, clicks, date and time stamps, location data, and other technology on the devices that you use to access the Platform.
Transaction Data, such as details of the Services you have availed, a limited portion of your credit or debit card details for tracking transactions that are provided to us by payment processors, and UPI IDs for processing payments.
Usage Data, which includes information about how you use the Services, your activity on the Platform, booking history, user taps and clicks, user interests, time spent on the Platform, details about user journey on the mobile application, and page views.

b. We also collect, use, and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data under law as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this Policy.

c. What happens if I refuse to provide my personal data?

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract (such as the Terms), and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to provide you with the Services). In this case, we may have to cancel or limit your access to the Services.

3. HOW DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA?

We use different methods to collect personal data from and about you including through:

a. Direct Interactions. You provide us your personal data when you interact with us. This includes personal data you provide when you:

create an account or profile with us;
use our Services or carry out other activities in connection with the Services;
enter a promotion, user poll, or online surveys;

a. We use personal data for any lawful purpose. Most commonly, we will use personal data about you where we need it to perform or provide the Services, enable you to use the Services, or where we need to comply with a legal obligation, which includes without limitation for the following purposes:

Providing services and features

Your Personal Data will be used to provide, personalize, maintain and improve our Apps, Websites and Services. This includes using your Personal Data to:

engage you to provide you with Services across our various business verticals;
create, administer and update your account;
process, manage or verify your eligibility for or application of Services, promotions, rewards and subscriptions with Calibee;
conduct due diligence checks and risk assessments / analysis;
verify your identity and age (where necessary);
offer, obtain, provide, facilitate or maintain insurance or financing solutions;
personalize your Apps experience (such as to recommend products and services relevant to you, identify your preferences or otherwise personalize your experience with Calibee);
make your experience more seamless, such as automatically filling in your registration information (such as your name or phone number) from one Service to another Service or when you participate in our surveys;
perform internal operations necessary to provide our Services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational problems, conducting data analysis, testing and research, monitoring and analyzing usage and activity trends;
protect the security or integrity of the Services and any facilities or equipment used to make the Services available;
enable communications between our users;
invite you to participate in our surveys and studies;
enable our partners to manage and allocate fleet resources; and
fulfill the services to you as a data processor, where you have provided consent to the data controller (i.e. the organization you had purchased goods or services from, and for whom Calibee is providing services on behalf of) for such services to be rendered.

Safety and security

We use your data to ensure the safety and security of our Services and all users. This includes:

screening workers before enabling their use of our Services;
verifying your identity when you log in to Calibee;
using device, location, profile, usage and other Personal Data to prevent, detect and combat fraud or unsafe activities;
monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and policies.

User support

We use Personal Data to resolve user support issues. For example, we may:

investigate and address concerns;
monitor and improve our user support responses;
respond to questions, comments and feedback; and
inform you about steps taken to resolve user support issues.

Research and development and security

We may use the Personal Data we collect for testing, research, analysis and product development. This allows us to understand and analyze your needs and preferences, protect your Personal Data, improve and enhance the safety and security of our Services, develop new features, products and services, and facilitate development of insurance and finance solutions.Legal purposes

We may use the Personal Data we collect for legal purposes, such as to investigate and resolve claims or disputes, detect/prevent/prosecute crime, or as allowed or required by applicable law. We may use your Personal Data to send you marketing communications relating to customized products or services (that may be of interest or relevance based on your profile), or Calibee’s partners’, sponsors’ and advertisers’ products, services, events or promotions. For example, we may:

send you special offers that may be of interest or relevance to you across all of Calibee’s service offerings;
send you alerts, newsletters, updates, mailers, promotional materials, special privileges, festive greetings; and
notify, invite and manage your participation in our events or activities.

We may communicate such marketing to you by various means, where applicable (including by SMS, chat applications (e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, WeChat, Zalo)), push notification, call, and by email).

If you wish to unsubscribe to the receiving of such marketing communications, please click on the unsubscribe link in the relevant email or message. Alternatively, you may also update your preferences in our Apps settings. Please note that while you may opt out of marketing or promotion communications, Calibee may still send you service-related messages (such as information on your transactions, rewards, etc.).

User Published Content

If you publish content (such as a review or comment) on Calibee’s platform, it will be shown publicly along with your personal data (such as profile name, uploaded photo(s)), and other information you choose to include in your contentb. We may use and share information that has been de-identified or aggregated for any lawful purpose.

5. COOKIES, DIGITAL ADVERTISING, AND ANALYTICS

a. Calibee, and third parties with whom we partner, may use cookies, web beacons, tags, scripts, local shared objects such as HTML5, advertising identifiers and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) in connection with your use of the Websites and Apps, which may be persistent or stored only during an individual session on your browsers or devices.

Cookies may have unique identifiers, and reside, among other places, on your computer or mobile device, in emails we send to you, and on our web pages. Cookies may be used for various purposes such as to:

provide the essential, basic functions of the use of our Websites, Services or Apps;
authenticate you, or remember your user preferences and settings;
delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, such as by measuring number of views or clickthroughs;
analyze site traffic and trends;
serve you relevant advertisements across other apps and websites owned by other companies (whether by us or by other advertisers); and
enhance user interface and experience by generally understanding the online behaviors and interests of users who interact with our Website, Services or Apps.

Calibee may allow third parties to use Cookies on the Websites and Apps to collect the same type of Personal Data for the same purposes Calibee does for itself. Third parties may be able to associate the Personal Data they collect with other Personal Data they have about you from other sources. We do not necessarily have access to or control over the Cookies they use.

b. Digital Advertising. We may partner with ad networks and other ad serving providers (“Advertising Providers”) that serve ads on behalf of us and others on non-affiliated platforms. Some of those ads may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on information Advertising Providers collect about your use of the Site and other sites or apps over time, including information about relationships among different browsers and devices. This type of advertising is known as interest-based advertising. Note that electing to opt out will not stop advertising from appearing in your browser or applications. It may make the ads you see less relevant to your interests.

c. Analytics. We may also work with third parties that collect data about your use of the Site and other sites or apps over time for non-advertising purposes. With our legal advisors and governmental authorities

We may share your Personal Data with our legal advisors, law enforcement officials, government authorities and other third parties. This may take place to fulfill the legal purposes (mentioned above), or any of the following circumstances:

where it is necessary to respond to an emergency that threatens the life, health or safety of a person; or
where it is necessary in the public interest (e.g. in a public health crisis, for contact tracing purposes and safeguarding our community).

7. YOUR CHOICES IN RELATION TO PERSONAL DATA

a. Access and Updating Personal Data. It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. When you use our Services, we work to provide you with the ability to access and correct in accurate or deficient data, subject to any legal requirements. If personal data about you changes during your relationship with us, please update that information or contact us for assistance in doing so.

This may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country other than the one you are based, or one of our vendors, partners, or service providers is located in a country other than one you are based in.

9. DATA SECURITY

a. We implement appropriate security measures and privacy-protective features on our Platform including encryption, password protection, call masking, and physical security measures designed to protect personal data from unauthorized access and disclosure, and follow standards prescribed by applicable law.

b. However, no method of safeguarding information is completely secure. While we use measures designed to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee that our safeguards will be effective or sufficient. In addition, you should be aware that internet data transmission is not always secure, and we cannot warrant that the information you transmit utilizing the Services or Platform is or will be secure.

c. Where you have chosen a password that enables you to access certain parts of the Services, you are responsible for keeping this password secret and confidential. We will not be responsible for any unauthorized use of your information, or for any lost, stolen, or compromised passwords, or for any activity on your user account due to such unauthorized use or disclosure of your password. In the event your password has been compromised in any manner whatsoever, you should promptly notify us to enable us to initiate a change of password.

10. DATA RETENTION

a. We store and retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill our stated purpose(s) including for a reasonable period after the termination of your account on the Platform or access to the Services to comply with our legal rights and obligations.

b. In some circumstances, we may de-identify or aggregate personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

11. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

We invite you to post content on our Platform, including your comments, feedback, pictures, or any other information that you would like to be made available on our Platform. Please note that such content may be available to visitors to our Platform and may become public.

12. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

Calibee may from time to time update this Policy. If we make changes to this Policy, we will upload the revised policy on the Platform and/or notify you through other means, such as email. To the extent permitted under applicable law, by using our Platform after such notice, you consent to updates made to this Policy. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices.
